How to Contribute

A specific contribution to any of the following programs, or a general contribution falling under any of the investment categories listed below, are first and foremost opportunities to support the Canadian Literature Centre’s two major priorities: the community outreach of its activities and its cutting-edge research projects. These contribution options represent your potential investment in Canada’s pursuit of artistic, cultural and intellectual excellence as well as its social and civic advancement.

The Henry Kreisel Memorial Lecture and Publication

Benefits: name and/or logo displayed prominently in all promotional materials, including websites; biographical note in event program; podium time (if desired); meal or meeting with the guest author.

Investment: $12,000 per annum.

Naming Opportunity for the Brown Bag Lunch Series

Benefits: naming opportunity, or, name and/or logo displayed prominently in all promotional material and season program, including websites; podium time (if desired).

Investment: $10,000 per annum.

Naming Opportunity of CLC Postdoctoral Fellowship or Bursary

Benefits (fellowship): fellowship officially in the sponsor’s name.

Investment: $50,000 per annum (for a full postdoctoral fellowship of 12 to 24 months).

Benefits (bursary): bursary officially in sponsor’s name.

Investment: $7,500 per annum (for an 8-month honorarium to a scholar already awarded with an external fellowship).

Naming Opportunity to the CLC Scholarly Speakers Series

Benefits: series officially named after the sponsor; name and/or logo displayed prominently in all promotional material, including websites; podium time (if desired).

Investment: $2,500 per annum.

Naming Opportunity to the Canadian Literature Centre

Benefits: Centre officially named after its patron; sponsor prominent at all CLC events (colloquia and conferences, CLC publications, lectures, public readings); institutional, national and international recognition, with regular press releases including quote from the sponsor.

Investment: $2.5 million ten-year trust.

General contribution to the CLC

Benefits: institutional and public recognition (in published and electronic CLC material).

Donor: up to $999

Supporter: $1,000 to $2,499

Friend: $2,500 to $4,999

Leader: $5,000 +
